I love top 10 lists. Maybe I just love reading them and trying to think of two or three things they left out. Or maybe that’s just me.
At any rate, this is a list that you definitely need to check out.
The marvelous Mogsy over at The BiblioSanctum has put together a thought-provoking roll call of hidden gems from 2016:

Allow me to call your attention to (ahem) #5, It Happened One Doomsday by yours truly. Here’s how the mighty Mogsy put it:
“I knew I was going to have fun with this book, but I ended up liking it even more than I expected. I’ve reached the point in my reading where I already have several go-to authors or series I seek out whenever I want my routine Urban Fantasy fix, so for me to jump into a new UF, something has to be unique or special about it to catch my interest. I’m happy to say that It Happened One Doomsday was just that—fresh, original, and extremely entertaining. Here’s another tidbit of interesting trivia. We all know that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but at least two of the books on this list (my book and Masks & Shadows by Stephanie Burgis) have the same cover artist, the noteworthy Nicole Lecht.
Mere coincidence? Hmm. The world may never know.
