The real life inspiration behind No Sleep till Doomsday

Perhaps the most popular character in my Dru Jasper series is Hellbringer, a black 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona that is literally possessed by a speed demon.

In my new book, No Sleep till Doomsday, our anti-hero Hellbringer has a brand-new nemesis, a 2018 Dodge Demon named Soulbreaker.

Whoa!

Man, that’s tough to beat. But yeah, that’s pretty much the essence of my book.

Dru Jasper #3: No Sleep till Doomsday

Dru Jasper book 3 - No Sleep till DoomsdayThe rumors are true.

Dru Jasper #3: No Sleep till Doomsday is coming out soon!

Here’s the scoop:

When a wicked enchantress steals a cursed doomsday amulet, crystal sorceress Dru Jasper has only 24 hours to get it back before the world will come to a fiery end.

With this supernatural amulet in hand, the enchantress intends to break the sixth seal of the apocalypse scroll—making the seas boil, the stars fall from the sky, and the Earth itself split apart.

Overall, bad news.

Crystal sorceress Dru Jasper must hit the road to get the amulet back. But she suspects her half-demon boyfriend and his demon-possessed muscle car, Hellbringer, are hiding a dark secret. Can she trust them to help her stop the doomsday they were made for?

Worse, tracking down the enchantress runs Dru smack up against a pack of killer shape shifters, the grim mystery of a radioactive ghost town, and a dangerous speed demon even more powerful than Hellbringer.

As the clock runs out, Dru is locked in a high-speed chase with the enchantress, fighting a fierce magical duel she can never win alone. Can Dru and her sorcerer friends unravel Hellbringer’s secrets, outwit the shape-shifters and retrieve the stolen amulet—before the dawn of doomsday?

Pre-order the book.

You could win it before you can buy it! See upcoming giveaways in my free author newsletter. Subscribe now.

Coming in 2017: Dru Jasper Book 2

A Kiss Before Doomsday

Did you notice the red glowing tire tracks? Words can’t express how much I love this new cover.

So, this year I did something I’ve never done before. I wrote a sequel.

It was weird, because for the first time, I found myself writing a book with pre-established characters, relationships, settings, etc. Dru’s magic universe (or the “Druniverse” as I like to call it) was already firmly laid out in the first book.

If a story fact made things more complicated, it’s not like I could just change it. I had to work it out. For example, Opal doesn’t have magical powers, but now she’s caught in the midst of these epic magical struggles. What does that mean for her as a person? What does that mean for her friends?
