Last Christmas, my trouble-making brother got me hooked on the new Pathfinder fantasy card game. (The best part: it’s cooperative. You and your friends work together to try to beat the deck. Plus, you can play the same character every game, gaining greater powers over the course of a long ongoing story arc. Really neat.)
I made this – and now I can take my Pathfinder Adventure Card Game to Starbucks with ease!
We play at Starbucks, and since the original cardboard box takes up way too much space on the table, I had to improvise. Originally, I packed the starter deck in a plastic recipe box and threw it in my backpack, so we could bike to the game.
100% fun. So what’s the problem?
The Game Keeps Growing
Who doesn’t love free stuff? Free is my favorite price! And also, being a true nerd of epic “I Grok Spock” proportions, I personally feel that Free RPG Day is possibly the coolest gamer grab ever.
Here’s the scoop: a bunch of role-playing game publishers have banded together to publish brand-new, trial-size versions of their big games. All you have to do is show up at your local participating game shop and hold out your hot little hands. Presto! Free sample game! How cool is that?
So make plans to be there this Saturday, June 19th, bright and early, for the best selection. I can tell you from agonizing experience that this stuff goes quick, so don’t get left empty-handed.
Where can you go? Check out the store locator on the Free RPG Day web page:
Now, go forth and game!
